National First Congress of Educational Technologies to be held Session

By the end of the current month, both the agreement by the local Unión de Informáticos de Cuba (Association of Computer specialists from Cuba, literally) and the the first National Educational Congress will be carried out.

The meeting, which is also sponsored by the local Ignacio Agramonte University from Camagüey province, will held session at the Santa Cecilia Convention center, along with the presentation of over 50 works by researchers and teachers from all over the nation.

The event promotes the exchange of related experiences and the results of the educational practices about learning and teaching which is supported by the local Computing and Communications Technologies (TIC).

In addition to those objectives, the program of the Congress includes symposiums with related themes about the tendencies, challenges and impacts of the TIC on the Cuban educational system, the related training of the human resources in the business sector, as well as the development of Educational Technologies from free software and their impact on the students´ learning and development skills.

As part of the opening ceremony of the Congress, it has been announced a conference about the current situation, the tendencies and the perspectives of the educational technology in the educational sphere and it will include a theme of the digital resources for the learning at the current educational sector and the use of the video games.

“In Camagüey province, there are some experts, professionals and researchers will also value the transformations about the plans for the study of the study of technologies, Computing science and Communications in both the local primary and high school and senior high school educational levels and the debate about the digital work, the use of learning objects, educational software, multimedia, and the design of webpages.”Expert IreivysMontell Ramos, who is the president of the delegation of the UIC from the University of Camagüey province, commented.

From September 29 through the 30th, the first National Congress of Educational Technology will hold session as agreed by the Association of Computer specialists from Cuba.
