
Havana - Delegations of Cuba and the United States will hold the 2nd Round of the Human Rights Dialogue, said the Deputy Director General for Multilateral Affairs and International Law at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Pedro Luis Pedroso.
The Cuban official announced on his Twitter account that on Friday, October 14, representatives from both countries will discuss the issue in Havana.
The dialogues on human rights between Cuba and the United States are an initiative proposed by the Cuban side on July 2014. The proposal was reiterated in January 2015.
The 1st round of talks on this subject took place on March 31, 2015 at the headquarters of the Department of State in Washington and the official Cuban delegation was headed by Pedro Luis Pedroso, while the US delegation was headed by Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor of the US Department of State, Tom Malinowski.
