Glimpses of culture appears everywhere

These days the samples of the most representative of our culture have given it a different hue to each of the scenarios which have taken over.

Various activities have distinguished different places in Artemisa province. In Mariel, the 39th edition of the Culture Week was dedicated to the saxophonist, pianist, orchestra director and teacher, Juan Armenteros.

Lovers of the work of this creator, one of the most multifaceted musicians of the town, met at Lucas Armenteros Culture House : the activity began with the performance of an audiovisual material, about his work.

Those present enjoyed a magazine with the current work of the honoree in the field of musical education, to children, youth and adults.

In Enrique Alvarez Jane Municipal Library, workers who have been there since the foundation of this cultural institution were recognized , especially the work of Maria del Carmen Carcache, considered a teacher for those who decided to follow this profession.

The meeting was attended by grandmothers who are part of the Workshop for hope, supported by the library in coordination with the Chair of the Elderly. Many of them also belong to the Club of Grandparents: since Carmen Martinez is about to be 101, they dedicated to her one of the most special moments of the night.

Many other activities were part of Week of Culture in Mariel. Each of the scenarios of the celebrations was marked by displays of native and identity performances, those that make us proud of our traditions.
