Cuban Vice President Meets Swiss Assistant Secretary of State

Havana - The vice president of the Council of Ministers, Ricardo Cabrisas, met with Eric Jacob, Swiss assistant secretary of State for Economic Promotion, Granma newspaper reported on Saturday.
According to the Cuban publication, Jacob heads a delegation of officials and business people who are here to participate in the Havana International Fair, FIHAV 2016.
The Swiss entrepreneurs are representing the sectors of construction and infrastructure, energy, medical technology and international trade.
They met on Friday with their Cuban peers at the 3rd Annual Meeting of the Cuba-Switzerland Business Committee in this capital.
During the meeting, Cabrisas explained some details of the Cuban economy and the economic and social priorities to be developed in the island.
He also talked about the opportunities that the Foreign Investment Law and the Mariel Special Development Zone offer to the Swiss business sector.
Cabrisas, who is also the Cuban minister of Economy and Planning, referred to the economic and trade relations between the two countries, after the restructuring of Cuba's debt with the Paris Club, Granma said.
He also highlighted the role played by the Swiss Agency for Cooperation, which has been developing an extensive program of bilateral cooperation projects in Cuba.

The Los Cuenteros Puppet Theater Company celebrated its 50th anniversary this November 19 at the Museum of Humor, located in San Antonio de los Baños, with the exhibition ''Fifty years telling stories''. The exhibition shows photographs, puppets and costumes used by Los Cuenteros in various performances since 1969.
