
San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba - Maria Elena Luis, writer and director of programs in Ariguanabo Radio, was awarded at the 38th edition of the 2016 Caracol Awards, sponsored by the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba UNEAC.
She recieved a prize in the category, script for children’s programs with the disco ‘’La Guagua’’. It's a well-conceived script that deals with the Spanish alphabet in a funny way. With the participation of the girls Anamay Ávila Martínez and Solach Castillo and the advicer Vicky Estrada. This is the second Caracol given to the director.
Maria Elena Luis was given the collateral Prize ‘’Sara Gómez’’, awarded by the Network of Cuban Radiomakers to creative women of our country, taking into account the use of radio and artistic resources based on the teaching from a female perspective.
