FIFA Nominates 10 Candidates to Award for Coach of the Year

Bern - The FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) announced today the list of the 10 coaches who will compete for World Coach of the Year for Men''s Football.
Zinedine Zidane (Real Madrid), Luis Enrique (Barcelona) and Diego Simeone (Atletico de Madrid), a trio of technicians from the Spanish League are in the list of candidates.
Chris Coleman (Wales), Didier Deschamps (France), Mauricio Pochettino (Tottenham), Jürgen Klopp (Liverpool), Pep Guardiola (Bayern/Manchester City), Claudio Ranieri (Leicester City) and Fernando Santos (Portugal) round out the list.
The awards will be presented at a ceremony in Zurich on January 9th, 2017, where the great football figures of 2016 will be paid tribute.
FIFA will choose the winners through a process in which 50 percent of the result is based on the votes of the captains and coaches of national teams from around the world.
The other 50 percent will be result of the sum of the results of a public vote on the Internet and preferences of a select group of more than 200 world media representatives.
The eight awards for 2016 will also recognize the Best Male Player, Best Female Player, Best Female, Puskas Award for Best Goal, Fair Play, the fans and the ideal campaign team (FIFA FIFPro World11).
The professional footballers around the world will select their ideal alignment in 2016 by voting FIFA FIFPro composition World11, the perfect team.
The winner of the FIFA Puskás Award for Best Goal of the Year will be chosen by fans by means of an open vote, while a group of experts will decide the winner of the FIFA Fair Play Award.
