
New York- The company Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba is visiting the United States with a work that has already been praised in this country: ''Cuba vibra!'', which will have two performances next weekend in Chicago.
For the third time, the company will perform in Chicago, this time at the Auditorium Theater of Roosevelt University, on November 5th and 6th. The group performed long before in this city with the work 'Fuerza y compás'.
After debuting successfully at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts in the Bucknell University of Pennsylvania, 'Cuba vibra!' was also scheduled at other major US theaters.
Other performances include the John Michael Kohler Arts Center (November 3rd, Sheboygan, Wisconsin), The Rialto Center for the Arts (November 10th, Atlanta, Georgia) and Performing Arts Live of Iredell (November 12th, Statesville, North Carolina).
The group will also perform at the Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts (November 9th) and Cal Poly Arts (November 15th).
Directed by professor and choreographer Lizt Alfonso, the group has shared the stage with renowned artists like Cuban Omara Portuondo, diva of the Buena Vista Social Club.
The dance company has performed on stages from across the world during its 25 years.
