Sadness in Trinidad and Tobago on Death of Fidel

The 141 health volunteers from Cuba, who are carrying out their work in different health specialties and regions from Trinidad and Tobago, expressed their sorrow for the death of the leader of the Cuban Revolution.
The document was signed by 37 doctors, 16 graduates in Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1 entomologist and 88 nurses. It got to our hands through the Cuban chief of that team in that Caribbean nation, Rody Cervantes, along with the collaboration of the Cuban ambassador to that nation, Guillermo Vázquez. The health staff which is working there regretted the death of our commander.
“With great sorrow, we have known the piece of news about the death of our beloved Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz, and we will continue his work for the rest of our lives by sharing more solidarity, more human and a much better health service for the Trinitarian population.”
We shall always overcome
Cuban Medical Staff in Trinidad and Tobago
The altruistic health service of Cuba to that Caribbean island is the result of Fidel´s internationalist spirit given he always instilled it into the Cuban doctors. That is why; I want to return to the words said by David Abdulá who is the founder of the group of solidarity from that nation with Cuba. He welcomed the Cuban Press team that worked in that region.
Cuba has surpassed what it has to do in relation to Trinidad and Tobago because there are many Trinitarian young people who have become doctors, architects, computer specialists and there is even an Olympic medalist from London 2012 who was trained by a Cuban coach. They have gone from here to Cuba to take professional training, and that is really significant to us.” He highlighted.
Regarding the work carried out by the Cuban medical groups who have been working since 2003 in Trinidad and Tobago, the militant of the solidarity movement thanked that altruistic gesture on behalf of the Trinitarian people.
“On these twelve years, there have been hundred of doctors and health staff from Cuba who have worked in the public sector here in hospitals, health care centers and they even got to rural region, besides, those ones who are taking those treatments, are feeling glad due to their really affable and professional work. Those are aspects that the people thank here. We are united to Cuba and Fidel by much more than a sea.” He pointed out.
