Museum of Humor opened collateral exhibitions within the program of the National Salon of Personal Caricature "Juan David" 2016

San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba - The International Museum opened four collateral exhibitions within the program of the XXVIII National Salon of Personal Caricature "Juan David" 2016 until February 20, 2017. The work of the master Juan David dedicated to the Commander in Chief welcomes the visitor and reveals the personality of the leader of the Cuban revolution.

Isel Chacón, Director of the Museum of Humor presented the exhibition "Vuelve David" as a tribute to the creator. The sample is made up of 19 pieces, nine of them made by Juan David himself, the rest by other authors, along with the exhibition "Zapping" by Yusniel Labañino, artist who was awarded in the previous edition. This personal sample is the first of the creator, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts San Alejandro. The successful selection shows the recognition and growth of this young creator.

Another proposal is the exhibition of Enrique Lacoste Prince, "Estrictamente personal". The artist presents different faces of the culture thanks to his mastery. Another example is the expo-homage to Fidel Castro by Rafael Vallbona Losada. Composed of 10 works, it constitutes a tight synthesis that recalls transcendent moments of the Commander in Chief.

Exhibitions, tributes and recognitions were part of the National Salon of Personal Caricature "Juan David" 2016 in the Museum of Humor, annual event that immortalizes the work of Juan David and the validity of the caricature as genre.
