Cuba for Greater Cooperation With Vietnam

Hanoi- The Cuban consul in Ho Chi Minh City, Bernabé García, today declared that Cuba would promote cooperation, in tourism, medicine, biotechnology and agro-forestry, with the Vietnamese region of Mekong Delta.
The diplomat made his comments in a meeting with authorities in the city Can Tho, according to sources.
He added that the Caribbean nation had invited companies to invest in the sectors mentioned and reiterated that Vietnam remains Cuba's strategic partner.
García also expressed his conviction that bilateral cooperation would be further developed.
Both countries are working to raise their economic relations to the same level as their political cooperation, which is mutually seen as excellent.
