Standing Ovations to Lizt Alfonso's Ballet Company in Central Cuba

Cuba-The ballet company Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba showed for three days its majesty and mastery with its show Cuba Vibra at the main theater of this city.

For one and a half hours of each presentation under Alfonso's artistic direction, the people of Ciego de Avila enjoyed a fusion of musical genres that was highly acclaimed by hundreds of spectators.

The colors and elegance of the costumes was combined with the talent of the artists, who among songs and dances recreated with great virtuosity a mixture of boleros, rumba, conga, mambo, feeling, cha cha cha, son, Mozambique and even rock and roll.

The show was tinged with percussion instruments as expressive resources to pay tribute to rumba and female dance with batons.

During her stay in Ciego de Avila, 430 kilometers east of Havana, Alfonso gave a class to students of artistic education, an event that consolidates her title of Goodwill Ambassador granted by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

Litz Alfonso has been repeatedly awarded for her company's performances in China, Turkey and United States. With 25 years' experience with her company, Alfonso and her group do not cease to amaze the public of Ciego de Avila, after more than a decade of absence.
