Luis de la Portilla, National Commissioner of the sport, told Prensa Latina that Cuba will also enter the Pan-American tournament, from May 5 to 7 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The gladiators of the Caribbean island will also participate in the Granma-Cerro Pelado International Tournament, in the Cuban province of Camaguey (East), from February 17 through 23.
Another contest with scenario in the country will be the Arbesu-Cascaret in Memorian, in the central province of Sancti Spiritus, from May 18 to 25.
Cuba won two gold medals and one silver at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics Greco-Roman wrestling tournament. Ismael Borrero (59 kg) and the Olympic champion Mijaín López (130kg) won the title in the Olympic Games, While Yasmany Lugo (98kg) got the second place.
