With three excellent monticular works of its main pitchers, Raymel Pérez, Ricardo Martínez and Yaniel Viera, the team led by Jorge Luis Machado Castro defeated Los Universitarios in the first particular subseries of the Seventh Provincial Baseball Series in Artemisa.

The children of the White Villa obtained (10x0) (6x1) and (17x0), who had the support of Ronny Proenza, with two home runs and Nagiel Acosta with one. The provincial champions fell 1-2 against San Cristóbal, (4x2) (9-19) and (8-9). Here the victories were for Wilfredo Frías, Ernesto Cruz and Luis Alberto Lago. The defeats for Yuniel Naranjo and Wilfredo Frías.

San Antonio de los Baños had the victory against Caimito, at Jose Ignacio Chiug Stadium, but the poor defense and monticular work of his relievers prevented it. The markers of this subseries were (9x8) and (10x5) for the Ariguanabenses and (13x11) in favor of the warriors of Caimito.

Bauta won two games against Alquízar. On Saturday, the first lost (5x11) and the second won (9x2). The triumphs for Léster Martínez and Deinis Rivera, the defeats for Iván Menéndez and Yoel Rosales. On Sunday, Bauta smiled at Severino Méndez Stadium, (5x1). Raciel González won and Henry Ramirez lost. Güira beat Bahia Honda twice (18x13) and (6x2) and fell by knockout (12x2). The winning pitchers were Gerardo Miranda, Yusniel Crespo and Dayron Diaz, while Yankiel Perez, Dayán Almaguer and Juan Jose Avila finished crestfallen.

The surprise of the first weekend was given by Mariel, by beating Artemisa twice (8x3) and (7x6) and losing (11x1). The winners were Honny Gonzalez, Israel Sánchez and Manuel Perez; Silian Dávila, Dayron Acosta and Luisdel Torres were the losers.

In all, 15 home runs were connected and three knockouts were produced. Next weekend, the series continues and these will be the confrontations.
