La Paz - The ideas of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, will remain intact and will strengthen the struggles in Latin America, Ecuador's ambassador to Bolivia, Ricardo Ulcuango, said.

Jose Marti (1853-1895) and Fidel Castro (1926-2016) have been personalities of great importance in the excluded society, that society that has been apart from the benefits, Ulcuango told Prensa Latina.

The Ecuadorian diplomat stated that the actions taken by the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution have been immense for Latin America and they have motivated that several sectors of the society organize and claim their rights.

He is a vivid memory for us, we will always keep him in mind, the ambassador said during the opening ceremony yesterday of the exhibition 'Fidel, fidelisimo retoño martiano', at the San Francisco Cultural Center Museum located in La Paz.

Speaking about Marti's legacy, he said the messages of the Apostle have taken root during youth, ensuring the durability of his ideas.

Nicaraguan ambassador to Bolivia, Elias Chevez, stressed the validity of the ideas by Jose Marti and Fidel Castro in the current times and the need to always resort to his ideas.

Questioned about the integration process in Latin American, Chevez referred to the importance of promoting unity among the peoples of the region facing imperialist aggressions.

Scheduled until February 25th and organized by the Cuban embassy in Bolivia, the exhibition brings together the talent of documentalist and photographer, Roberto Chile, who with almost 30 images, immortalizes some important moments in the life of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution.

The exhibition dedicated to Marti is comprised of 20 works by Cuban artists Armando Menocal, Alicia Leal, Pedro Pablo Oliva, Ernesto Garcia Peña, Servando Cabrera Moreno, Mariano Rodriguez and Rene Portocarrero.
