Odecabe to Visit Barranquilla to Evaluate 2018 CentAm Games

San Juan- The Central American and Caribbean Sport Organization (Odecabe) reported that it will travel to the Colombian city of Barranquilla to discuss issues related to the organization of the upcoming regional games.
The Odecabe executives will visit Colombia from February 2 to 4 to hold a General Assembly, which will explore important aspects related to the Games to be held from July 19 to August 3, 2018.
According to the agenda, on Thursday the Executive Committee, will meet on Friday will be the General Assembly with all the members at the Dawn Carlton hotel.
In addition, will be featured seven Caribbean Territories which will be accommodated in the Organization as associate members so they can participate in the upcoming games.
Guadeloupe and Martinique have already been accepted as new participators in the Organization and the same is expected with Curaçao, French Guiana, Saint Martin, Turkish and Caicos and Anguilla Islands.
To achieve that, enrolment of countries and associated territories will rise to 38 for Barranquilla, the largest number of participants in the history of the oldest regional events on the planet.
Another topic on the agenda is the report of the Evaluation Commission to host the games in 2022, for which Panama City is the only candidate and will present their proposals.
