International Congress Pedagogy 2017 Concludes in Cuba

Havana- The International Congress Pedagogy 2017 comes to an end today in this capital, after becoming a space to foster unity among global educators and discuss the necessary educational strategies for a better quality education.
During the closing ceremony, the President of the Scientific Committee, Eva Escalona, ​​said that over three thousand delegates from 51 nations attended, who recognized the quality and scientific rigor of papers presented.
Likewise, Eva Escalona recalled that this 15th edition is dedicated to the Cuban historical leader, Fidel Castro, as well as to the 55th Anniversary of Cuba´s Literacy Campaign and to the 50th anniversary of the passing of Ernesto Che Guevara.
On the other hand, Cuban Ministry of Education granted a recognition to several personalities such as Abel Prieto, and Cuban President´s Adviser and former Minister of Education, José Ramón Fernández Álvarez, for his support to the educational development in previous editions.
During the closing ceremony, the official of the Association of Latin American and Caribbean Educators María Luz Ramos, described this international gathering as an essential setting to take into consideration the educational growth and maturity experienced by teachers worldwide and extended the invitation for coming congress, which will be held from February 4th to 8th, 2019.

Havana - Cuba is a nation with a wealth of culture, stated the Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Audrey Azoulay, at the inauguration of the 41st International Festival of New Latin American Cinema on Thursday, running through December 15 in this capital.
