Bogota-Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos stated that the post-conflict cabinet, made up of ministers and other senior officials, is ready to session today for the first time.

According to the governor, the team will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of the peace agreements signed with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People's Army (FARC-EP).

During a forum held at the National Museum, the president explained the cabinet includes the Minister of Interior (Juan Fernando Cristo), Defense (Luis Carlos Villegas), Labor (Clara López), Agriculture (Aurelio Iragorri), Transport (Jorge Rojas), Finance and Public Credit (Mauricio Cárdenas) and Mines and Energy (Germán Arce).

He also mentioned the High Commissioner for Peace, Sergio Jaramillo, and the Post-conflict Councilor, Rafael Pardo, among other advisers and executives.

Last November 24, Santos and the leader of the FARC-EP, Timoleón Jiménez, signed the definitive agreement with which they promised to end the long conflict between both parties.
