Ricardo Cabrisas receives Slovakian Ministers of Finances and Health

Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, a Council of Ministers vice president and Minister of Economy and Planning, yesterday February 6, received two Slovakian leaders, Minister of Finances Peter Kažimír and Health Minister Tomáš Drucker, who are making an official visit to Cuba, leading a broad delegation of government representatives and professionals from these arenas, looking to strengthening commercial relations and cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, Cabrisas thanked the Slovakian government and its ambassador in Havana for the signing of an important debt restructuring agreement in 2015; as well as the support of Slovakia during its rotating presidency of the European Union in establishing a Political Dialogue and Cooperation between Cuba and the bloc.
Noted was increasing interest in investing in Cuba on the part of Slovakian businesses, given financial incentives offered by the country's EXIMBANKA to companies working with Cuban enterprises.
During this visit, agreements were signed related to the energy sector and health care, reaffirming the interest of the two countries in further developi9ng their historic ties.
Participating on the Cuban side were Marcia Cobas Ruiz, deputy minister of Public Health; Lourdes Garrido Álvarez, director general for organizational development at the Ministry of Finances and Prices; Inalvis Bonachea González, director of European trade policies at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment; as well as other officials from these ministries.

Fidel's presence was recalled in several Ariguanabo centers and institutions. Students from the Eduardo Abela Vocational School of Art, located in San Antonio de los Baños, paid tribute to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, through dance and music.
