Cuban Parliament president receives Vietnamese leader

Presdient of the Cuban people´s Powers Assembly (Parliament) Esteban Lazo received on Wednesday afternoon the Vice-President of the Standing Committee of the Vietnamese National Assembly (ANV) Tong Thi Phong.
According to Granma newspaper, Lazo highlighted the meaning of the historical bonds of solidarity and brotherhood between Cuban and Vietnam, and between the parliaments of the two countries. He recalled the visits to Cuba of the President of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang and the ANV President Nguyen Thi Kim.
Tong Thi Phong said she was happy to be in Cuba and the fact she ewas received at the Havana’s Capitolio, recently inaugurated as headquarters of the Cuban parliament.
The two leaders spoke of the good relations between the parliaments and the willingness to increase them in the future.
The Vietnamese delegation will pay homage to Cuban national Hero Jose Marti and Vietnam’s Ho Chi Min, and will tour places of historical, scientific and touristic interest.
