Cuba to Host Havana World Music Festival

Havana - More than 200 artists from a dozen countries will participate in the 4th edition of the Havana World Music Festival, starting March 23rd to 26th, organizers confirmed today.

Sponsored by the Cuban Institute of Music and the National Center of Popular Music, the event will have the Metropolitan Park of Havana and the Cuban Art Factory as main venues.

According to the artistic director of the festival, singer Eme Alfonso, the event will allow to learn new cultures and there will be many parallel activities for all audiences.

In addition to concerts, the event includes exhibitions, performances, workshops and keynote speeches to exchange on current trends in music in the world.

One of its main objectives is to promote the work of young bands and give them the opportunity to share with bands with a solid music track record.
