The updating of the hydrocarbon potential of the Cuban Economic Exclusive Zone in the Gulf of Mexico (CEEZ-GoM), one of the master lectures to be imparted in the forum, to be given by Osvaldo Lopez Corzo, of the Petroleum Research Center and head of the Exploration Group of Cupet.

Aliena Flores and Olga Castro, belonging to that institution, will refer to the Stratigraphy and Petrophysical Behavior, respectively of the CEEZ-GoM.

For their part, experts of the Enterprise Schlujmberger Limited of Mexico, will speak on topics as the 'Drilling Optimization', 'No drilling surprises' and Bases of design and lessons learned with the concentric injection and biphasic fluid.

There will also be workshops related with the drilling technology of and long-reach horizontal Wells, the biotechnology and environmental protection and application of chemistry in the oil industry.

Petrogas 2017 is part of the 7th Convention of Earth Sciences to be held from April 3 to 7 in the Convention Center organized by the Cuban Society of Geology and sponsored by over 20 companies, among which Latitude Energy Services Inc., Schlumberger Limited, Sherritt and the Ministries of Energy and Higher Education.

This is a complex of events also comprising Petrogas 2017, the 11th Congress of Geology, the 9th of Geophysics, the 13th of Information Technologies and other important fora.
