Ecuadorian Ambassador Highlights inCuba Importance of Integration

Havana - Humanism and solidarity are the cornerstone of fraternal relations between Latin American and Caribbean peoples, said Ecuador''s ambassador to Cuba, Fabian Solano.
In an interview with Cubaminrex, in the framework of the 15th Political Council of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Treaty of Trade of the Peoples (ALBA-TCP) held in Havana, the diplomat highlighted the renewed and transcendental political impulse the processes of regional integration are experiencing.
He added that there are many regional and subregional integration and coordination organizations in which Ecuador is a benchmark for several countries.
Solano also stated that a desire of Ecuador's President-elect Lenin Moreno was to strengthen and improve the South American nation's participation in regional blocs such as ALBA-TCP, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States and the Union of South American Nations.
Everything should be geared to favoring peace, independence, self-determination and cooperation among the region's countries, he said.
Regarding the situation in Venezuela, Solano reiterated the position of his government in favor of dialogue between the parties involved and its rejection any attempt of destabilization promoted by international bodies.
