Havana - The analysis of the impact of zika and H1N1 influenza in Latin America, from the perspective of intensive medicine, marks the last day of the International Congress of the specialty, URGRAV 2017, concluding here today.

The Chilean doctor Sebastián Ugarte will be in charge of a specialized conference that will address the new advances of the Latin American Critical Care Trial Investigative Network (LACCTIN) in this field.

LACCTIN studies on the reality of organ donation at the regional level will also be discussed on this last day of the congress, which since last Tuesday Havana Conference Center has hosted.

The care of the cancer patient in the intensive care unit, bioethics in transplantation and controversial aspects in the immediate postoperative period of cardiovascular surgery are other topics that stand out in the event.

URGRAV 2017, organized by the Cuban Ministry of Public Health and the Pan American Health Organization, among other institutions, included the 5th International Congress of Nursing in Critical Medicine and the 4th Forum of the Latin American Association for Cooperation in Medical Emergencies and Disasters.
