Damascus - The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called on the United Nations to condemn the attack that left a toll of more than 120 dead and 200 wounded persons, including 68 children, in the vicinity of Aleppo, press media published today in Damascus.

In documents sent to the Security Council and to the General Secretariat of the United Nations, it is also required to demand 'accounts from authors and governments who arm and finance terrorists' and to implement the resolutions issued in this regard.

'We reiterate the need to join international efforts to fight terrorism in close cooperation with the Syrian Government,' the statements released highlighted.

The Foreign Ministry stresses that this action 'aimed at obstructing the agreement reached to break the siege imposed on the inhabitants of Kafareya and Foua and at allowing the armed forces to leave the cities of Zabadani and Madaya and at alleviating the suffering of the residents of those cities.'

'Some countries that claim to advocate for human rights and have an interest in the lives of the Syrians have remained silent about this crime and have not condemned the attack,' the Syrian ministry stated.
