
Havana - The Prime Minister of the Republic of Congo, Clement Mouamba, regarded the relations between Congo and Cuba as ''indissoluble'', during the homage to deceased Congolese president Marien Ngouabi, celebrates at the African National Heroes Park in Havana.
After a wreath ceremony Mouamba said the possibility that there is a bust in honour of such a fighter for the independence of the African countries and peoples, framed the high depth and sincerity of the links between Cuba and Congo.
Mouamba said that precisely, under the presidential mandate of Marien Ngouabi, the Congolese links with Cuba were much more consolidated, and the sending of Congloese students to study in Cuban universities and secondary schools, started and is now maintained.
Marien Ngouabi presided the government, and directed the destiny of his country from January, 1969 until March 1977, and during its period as a Head of State supported the progressive movements of national liberation of African countries, such as Angola.
In September 1975, he visited Cuba in response to an official invitation, occasion in which he got the José Martí National Order, granted by the Cuban State Council, to foreign citizens and Heads of State or Government for their actions in favor of peace and the humanity.
