National Ballet of Cuba to Begin Presentations in Spain

Madrid - The National Ballet of Cuba (BNC) will begin a three-month European tour in Spain tomorrow, with numerous presentations in cities in this country, Italy, and France.

The prestigious company directed by legendary dancer Alicia Alonso will start its extensive tour in Canal Theaters of Madrid, where, from Wednesday on, it will offer 12 consecutive presentations, that cultural institution confirmed today.

In the Red Room of the modern complex dedicated to scenic arts, located in the neighborhood of Chamberí, in Madrid, the BNC will present its versions of the classic Nutcracker and Giselle.

On this occasion, the dance show will feature the music of Chaikovski performed live by Verum Symphony Orchestra and the Children's Choir of the Royal Chapel of Madrid, conducted by Giovanni Duarte.

Viengsay Valdés, Sadaise Arencibia, Anette Delgado, Grettel Morejón, Dani Hernández, Rafael Quenedit, Patricio Revé, Raúl Abreu, Ginett Moncho, Claudia García and Ariel Martínez will be the protagonists of this tour, supported by soloists and the BNC corps de ballet.
