Cuba and Poland Foster Relations

Havana - Vice-President of the Cuban Council of Ministers and Economy and Planning Minister, Ricardo Cabrisas, has received here Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Witold Waszczykowski, Granma newspaper reported today.
During the meeting, both officials expressed their willingness to promote bilateral relations in areas of common interest and discussed issues of the international agenda.
Cabrisas and Waszczykowski also ratified the intention to continue developing ties on the basis of respect, exchange and cooperation, the publication said.
The two sides propose to encourage their relations, according to reports. As part of his official visit to the island, the Polish foreign minister was also received by his Cuban peer, Bruno Rodriguez, with whom he signed the Protocol for the Establishment of a Mechanism of Inter-Ministerial Political Consultations.
They also signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Cuban Ministry of Tourism and the Polish Sports and Tourism Ministry; and an Agreement on Maritime Transportation between the two governments.

Havana - Cuba is a nation with a wealth of culture, stated the Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Audrey Azoulay, at the inauguration of the 41st International Festival of New Latin American Cinema on Thursday, running through December 15 in this capital.
