Havana - Officials from the National Organization of Colective Law Offices (ONBC) assured Tuesday that one of their purposes to celebrate the Judicial Worker''s Day is to foster a culture in the population on jurisprudence.
ONBC members said in a press release that the Judicial Worker's Day, June 8, coincides with the making of the 8th Congress of the National Lawyers Union of Cuba, in which they will be present.
Special morning activities in all the offices belonging to ONBC, recognition to the best lawyer teams and workers, and flower offerings in tribute to those who made history in the institution, will be carried out.
Lilia Maria Hernandez, first vicepresident of ONBC, underlined that in the context of the Congress of the National Union of Lawyers of Cuba that will be held at the Havana Convention Center of Havana, the entity will be present, with a outstanding supply of literature on jurisprudence.
'We are provided - specified Hernández - with a publishing firm named Editions ONBC, which was created in 1995. Since 2009, we have participated in the International Book Fair and other events in the national territory'.
'We get satisfied when we see not only the operators of the law and the students who study this university career, but also to the population in search of the laws and the comments about them, said the lawyer.
'The legal texts have an introduction, the history of some legislations and then the law appears with its comment, and the citizen who is not a professional of the sector has access to the book, in this way, we contribute to the judicial culture of the population,' Hernández concluded.
