President of Gabon to visit Cuba

Havana-The President of Gabon Ali Bongo Ondimba will pay an official visit to Cuba from Thursday, July 6, according to the Cuban Foreign Ministry´s website.
The website reports that H.E. Mr. Ali Bongo will hold official talks with Cuban authorities and carry out other activities.
On May, the Gabonese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francophonie and Regional Integration, Pacome Moubelet-Boubeya, visited the Caribbean nation and expressed Gabon´s intention of strengthening the bilateral ties between both nations.
During that meeting, H.E. Mr. Ali Bongo signed with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez an Agreement for Diplomatic Consultations so as to expand inter-chancelleries contacts and other representations from both ministries.
Cuba and Gabon established diplomatic relations in 1974 and their relations are stronger in different areas such as health, education and sport.
