Cuban Workers' Confederation (CTC) and the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (Inder), bet once again on healthy recreation, and for that reason they organize the celebration of the Recreational Sports Games of the Workers, now in its ninth edition.

Four sports will be played in the event: baseball, softball, chess and athletics; the latter two with male and female teams , to promote women participation in physical and recreational activity.

According to the information provided by the CTC management in our province, the first stage of these games will be developed in the municipal context from September to November, so the participating entities should start preparing now.

At the provincial level competitions are planned in the period from December to February next year. Then the zonal events will be held in March 2018, and the national games for the end of May.

These recreational sports games were created in order to achieve a greater participation of workers to the systematic practice of physical and sports activity, as a way for recreation and improvement of life quality.
