Casa de las Americas Supports Venezuela

Havana - Casa de las Americas has rejected criminal actions promoted by Venezuela´s opposition forces ''led by US imperialism with its usual accomplices'' against Nicolas Maduro´s government.

In a statement published today on its informativa web La Ventana, the prestigious Cuban cultural institution, recalled that in response to the left-wing advances in the South American region at the very beginning of the 21st century, the right-wingers responded with a violent media campaign and coups d'etat as it occurred in Honduras, Paraguay and Brazil.

The document affirms that not even the purest historical processes are exempt of mistakes and negative aspects, but they cannot try to ignore the great achievements of nations such as the present Venezuela.

It denounces that Venezuela is currently facing the harassment of a pack of hounds 'as in other times it was suffered by the Guatemala of Arbenz, Chile of Allende and of course Cuba, that has suffered and defeated countless US misdeeds and for over half a century remains subject to a atrocious blockade recently reinforced by Donald Trump.'

Likewise, Casa de las Américas stated that in rejecting the grim maneuvers against Venezuela, Casa de las Americas expressed its hope on the revolutionary Venezuelan people, its firm government and on its loyal armed forces.

The cause of Bolivarian and Chavista Venezuela is that of all men and women who around the world (including the United States) hope to a better world.
