Santa Clara - The good progress and quality of several works being carried out in Villa Clara as part of a program to upgrade recreational facilities entitled Villa Clara con Todos (Villa Clara For All), was confirmed here by Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, Political Bureau member and first vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers, during a tour , yesterday August 3, of facilities being built or repaired in the provincial capital, to benefit the population and the economy.

In the area of Leoncio Vidal Park, Díaz-Canel, accompanied by Julio Lima Corzo, first Party Secretary in Villa Clara, and Esperanza González Barceló, vice president of the Provincial Assembly of People's Power, visited the emblematic Hotel Central, which will soon be opening its doors after a capital renovation that has returned the building to its former comfort level and beauty.

Omar Milián Torres, director of the Hotel Los Caneyes enterprise, described the accommodations which will join the Encanto chain of boutique hotels, and noted that the Central will be in full operation for the International Tourism Fair scheduled to take place in the province next year.

The group also toured the recreational complex Somos Jóvenes, and celebrated the baseball season's start with a ceremony recognizing the Villa Clara team which will face the reigning champions from Granma here on opening day.
