
The initiative Promociones Literarias is now widening the horizons for literature inside and out of the Cuban borders, with the 3rd summer course of creative writing for children.
Cuban poet, promoter, narrator and writer Yunier Riquenes, a man heading this teaching platform of literature, told Prensa Latina that this 3rd edition of the course centers the activities in the care and protection of animals in cities, reinforce the love of children for nature and the love for human beings.
Particular attention will receive the work of writers such as Onelio Jorge Cardoso to children.
Publications of Cuban publishing house Ediciones Abril with their profile focused on children, will be promoted in this course.
Practical notions on the location of books and magazines in libraries, are also taught to the children.
Founded in 2012 and expanded into radio and TV spots, book fairs and other events in Cuba and abroad, the initiative serves as a bridge and window to know what happens in the country's literary and publishing world, and as an effective way to publicize their authors in the rest of the world.
