Cuba Debates on Uro-Oncology at Congress

Havana - Cuban and foreign specialists are debating here today on Uro-Oncology during the 21st Congress, Urologia 2017, to combine criteria on the procedures to follow in order to improve the quality of life of patients with urinary tract disorders.

During the second day of the meeting, taking place at the Conference Center in Havana,North American experts will present in plenary session the following issues: Testicular cancer and Role of nephron-sparing nephrectomy for high-risk kidney tumors.

Other works are: Metastasectomy in renal cell carcinoma; Current management of the Fournier Gangrene and Risk-adjusted therapy. Management of Localized Prostate Cancer.

The event will be favorable for Latin American experts to reflect on: Laser in urology. State of art; Complications in endourology and flexible optical ureteroscope. The agenda of the conclave, chaired by Emilio Cordiés, also includes today the symposiums: Lithiasis and Endourology from the Cuban perspective and Update on the treatment of Peyronie's disease and Erectile Dysfunction.

A roundtable discussion on: Uncertainty in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer, and the interactive table: Vasectomy, will also take place.

Parallel to the congress, in session until Thursday, November 9, are the 3rd Pediatric Urology Conference, the 5th Ibero-American Meeting on Endourology, Shockwaves and Laparoscopic Surgery in Urology, and the 3rd International Conference on Urological Nursing.
