The 2017 Radio and Television Festival and the Prizes

The video entitled’ Cabalgando con Fidel,’ which is identified with the occasion when the Cuban people pay their last respect to the mortal remains of the eternal leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, was the first occasion of the contests’ prize ceremony of the local Radio entitled ‘Sonido para Ver,’ and the one entitled ‘ Cubavision 2017’ of the current year.

Organized by the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT), there were 631 works of the radio and television from the nation’s creators nationwide since halfway though of the current year which were analyzed by a chosen jury of specialists and the multi-awarded ones in the audiovisual work of the related contents on internet.

Among the awarded ones at the National Radio and Television contest, it should be highlighted in the case of the radio prizes entitled’ Sonido para ver’ of the corresponding Generos Peridísticos (journalist categories) category that was granted to Angélica Paredes from the local Radio Rebelde station and to Dinora as part of the Popular Music category and the prize was granted to Memorias by Orested Rorres Aleaga from Radio Rebelde station. Moreover, the winner was the work entitled ’ Dile que pienso en ella ’ by Erick Rodríguez Hernández of Radio Sancti Spíritus station.

The program entitled’ Vivir del cuento’ by Ignacio Hernandez, the second season of the local UNO serial by the producers Roly Peña and Miguel Sosa and the one ‘Bailando a Cuba’ by Manuel Ortega who were granted to the Cubavision awards in the Humorist Program, Serial Fiction and Musical Program categories, respectively.

In addition, the actors Néstor Jiménez and Daysi Quintana won the contest as part of the Best Leading Performance (male and female) modality due to their programs entitled ’ Reencuentro y Rompiendo el silencio’.´
