South Korea and Vietnam Seek Boosting Cooperation

Seoul, Dec 21 (Prensa Latina) South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon met today with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh to boost and expand cooperation between the two countries.

Minh, who is here on a visit at the invitation of the South Korean Foreign Ministry, said at the meeting that bilateral relations have advanced in several fields, and thanked Seoul for its support for Vietnamese development, as well as the financial aid to recover from the damage caused by Typhoon Damrey.

The Vietnamese official committed to creating a favorable environment for South Korean business people to invest in his country.
For his part, the South Korean prime minister highlighted Vietnam's potential for rapid growth and noted that he expects that his country's companies can contribute to that development.
Lee added that the official aid to Vietnam will increase, and information and communication technologies will be exchanged, as well as other innovations.
