New Delhi - A Cuban delegation from the island''s biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry is attending Tuesday the 6th International Exhibition and Conference on Pharmaceutical Industry IPHEX 2108 which meets this week in New Delhi delegations from hundreds of countries.

Cuban Institutions like Center for State Control of Drugs, Medical Equipment and Devices(Cecmed)from Finlay Vaccine Institute, Trade Company Heber-Biotech and the Business group BioCubaFarma, travelled to this country in order to explore the national market as well as define future agreements.

During the opening of the conference, the Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry, Suresh Prabhu, remarked the development of the pharmaceutical industry in India and his intention of strengthening the economic and commercial links in this sector, especially with Africa and Latin America's countries.

Apart from Cuba, 128 countries from Latin America and the Caribbean like Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago and Uruguay are attending the 6th International Fair IPHEX 2018 on pharmacies and health care.
