Cuban GM Bruzon to face Anton in Capablanca´s opener

Havana, Cuba - The match between Cuban Lazaro Bruzon and Spanish David Anton will be the biggest attraction today at the kick-off of the 53rd edition of the Capablanca Memorial Chess Championship, at Havana Libre hotel.
The two other pairings of the Elite Group are between the also local Yusnel Bacallao as rival of veteran Russian Aleksey Dreev and another Russian, Aleksandr Rakmanov, will face American Samuel Shankland.
The tournament will also feature an Open group that will be attended by more than 180 contestants from 22 nations and another group only for children.
The opening ceremony held yesterday in the same facility was attended by PhD. Antonio Becali, president of INDER; Antonio Guerrero, Hero of the Republic of Cuba; and Silvino Garcia, first Cuban GM and president of the chess local federation.
