The organic process IX Congress of the University Student Federation has been realized by the half of the Cuban provinces and with the superior quality due to the debate of the youths, it was known in the plenary of the University of Cienfuegos, to which Olga Lidia Tapia Iglesias, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, attended.

This is a congress that takes place in a decisive year for the Revolution; it was affirmed by Raúl Alejandro Palmero Fernández, National President of the FEU, which groups 125 thousands of students: “It has served as trench and support for our election process and it has demonstrated that there is maturity in the youth for assuming the challenges”.

“It has been a congress where the youths have lived up to their moment and they have been contributing in order to transform their organization, their environment, in a constructive manner always inside the Socialism” the young leader revealed to Radio Rebelde.

Marian Figueredo Rodríguez, President of the FEU in the University of Cienfuegos read the Central Report and headed the debate in the middle of transformations with the continuity of the students together with the historical generation.

She said “the theme of the communication has been debated a lot, how we really take possession in the nets which is a new scenario of debate and fight, how the brigades work, what is transmitted in those meetings and preparing our presidents for doing them”.

How to continue the rescue of our history, to find out more attractive ways for encouraging values in them and specially the tasks of social impact were others of the debated themes, with the engagement and creativity of the university students from Cienfuegos.

Among the tasks of social impact the collaborators in the Electoral Process and the participation in the Verification to the Inner Control were highlighted, likewise the task teaching with love, in the giving of lessons at high school and technical-professional centers, joined to the links with the communitarian work.

It was an open and clear debate that checked the organic functioning in order to accomplish the FEU’s mission in the universities, symbol of the life, as it was transmitted by the Commandant in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution.
