Mayor of Rosario Highlights Che Guevara´s Presence

Rosario, Argentina - Rosario Mayor, Monica Fein, highlighted today the significance of the thought and ideals of Ernesto Che Guevara, who was born in this city on a day like today, 90 years ago.
Speaking to Prensa Latina, Fein pointed out that the Argentine-Cuban guerrilla makes this city proud, which honors him in this onomastics with dissimilar activities.
As it was done in his 80th birthday, this time we promote a series of events and tributes to this illustrious Rosario citizen, together with various political and social leaders to somehow assume the commitment to continue fighting for a more just society and a united America, she stated.
The mayor stressed that Che left for posterity his utopias and the conviction that a person can fight for those ideas and conquer them. Today, on this day of his birthday, we want to pay tribute in Rosario to 'that Argentinean, Latin American who transcended all over the world'.
For his part, the government secretary of the municipality, Gustavo Leone, highlighted to Prensa Latina that Rosario is a thriving, enterprising, rebellious city that saw Che be born and each one of the people of Rosario carry it in their memory and legacy as a person which represents this city in the world.
