The President of the National Assembly of the People’s Power, Esteban Lazo Hernandez met on Wednesday in Havana with the Russian ambassador in Cuba, Mikhail L. Kamynin who concluded his mission after years of dedication reinforcing ties between both countries.

The President of the Cuban Parliament expressed on Wednesday that “we say goodbye to a friend that we will never forget”; characterized as strategic and excellent relations between both countries and thanked Russia’s support of Cuba.

Kamynin thanked Lazo for his words and pointed out that his country will always be on the side of Cuba, to support its struggle for its rights and values.

He added that different political parties represent the Russian Parliament but when the Cuban issue is discussed, we all unite, regardless of ideology.

The President of the Cuban National Assembly explained the constitutional reform process underway in the country, which will be taken to the population for consultation.

The President of the Federation of Cuban Women, Yolanda Ferrer and the representative of the International Relations Commission of the National Assembly Pedro Pozo Velazquez were also present in the encounter.
