From July 6 th through September 2nd , the residents in Havana and those who visit it will have access to the attractive proposals of the Cuban Art Fair event at La Rampa area each summer at its typical space locally known as Pabellón Cuba fairground.

It was announced on Tuesday at the Press Conference the institutions and enterprises which participate in the organization of this event, such as the local Fondo Cubano de Bienes Culturales (FCVC), the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS), ARTEX, EGREM, Casa de las Américas (Americas center), Génesis Galerías de arte (Art Genesis Galleries), the Instituto Cubano del Libro (Cuban Book Institute), the Cuban Art, Cinematrograpic Industry Radio and Television, among others.

Apart from its typical sales, exhibitions, book presentations and the significant exponents of the Cuban music, the fair plans to surprise the audience at its XIX event, along with a photographic exhibition about the first images of the film entitled’ Inocencia’ (innocence) by the film firector Alejabdro Gil. It shows the events which lead to the shooting of the eight students of medicine in the then colony.

The concert will be carry out by the septet band from Santiago de Cuba province at the local Central Theater of the Pavellón Cuba facility which is a musical band with nominations and a Latin Grammy prize in the Traditional Music category.

Dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Ernesto Guevara de la Serna’s birthday and the third Congress of the AHS in its inaugural Arte en la Rampa’ event, it plans the instant revelation of the Heroic Guerrila Fighter (Ernesto Che Guevara).shows that it came from the collaboration between FCBC and the Che Guevara related study center.

The spaces entitled’ Encuentro con…, las descargas de trova y de música campesina en la Pérgola,’ as well as the presentations of records, audiovisual ones and children’s activities are part of a program designed to meet the needs of the different audiences.

At the same time, the provincial branches of the local FCBC will also activate all a system of handcrafted events and other initiatives in order the Cuban culture spread beyond the capital city and get to all the local popular councils, communities, municipalities and provinces nationwide.

Also immersed in the festivities for the 40 years of the FCBC and the 30 ones of ARTEX, the fair of the Cuban culture at the Rampa fairground will open its doors from Tuesday to Friday starting from 1:00 pm to 700 pm (local time) and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
