Graduation 26 at the International Film and Television School

The graduation 26 of the International Film and Television School (EICTV) took place at the headquarters of this institution in San Antonio de los Baños. A total of 46 students from 17 countries graduated in the specialties of Direction, Documentary, Production, Script, Sound, Photography, Publishing and New Media, especially from Latin America, but also young people from Europe, Africa and Australia.
During this course, 43 international workshops, 5 master's degrees and specialized high-level courses have been carried out, in which more than 380 students from all continents have entered; based on the principle ''learning by doing'', since its foundation on December 15, 1986 by the Colombian writer and journalist Gabriel García Márquez, Argentine poet and filmmaker Fernando Birri, Cuban director and theorist Julio García Espinosa and the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.
With three years of study, careers involve carrying out practical exercises produced by the entity itself. The professors (who change every fifteen days through the Modular Program of the center) come from all over the world and are prestigious professionals who provide experiences and enriching views on the audiovisual and its institutions. The students complete their curriculum with a daily cinematographic program, which shows classic films from all over the world, and the most interesting and refreshing films of contemporary cinema.

The Los Cuenteros Puppet Theater Company celebrated its 50th anniversary this November 19 at the Museum of Humor, located in San Antonio de los Baños, with the exhibition ''Fifty years telling stories''. The exhibition shows photographs, puppets and costumes used by Los Cuenteros in various performances since 1969.
