Buenos Aires - Argentine Nobel Peace Prize Adolfo Perez Esquivel pointed out that Cuba today has the possibility of improving and deepening its Revolution, referring to the process of the project of a new constitution that the Caribbean island is immersed in.

Addressed on the subject by Prensa Latina, the prominent human rights defender and close friend of Cuba, stated things are never static and every nation has a permanent dynamic of transformation.

Cuba has this possibility to improve and deepen the Cuban Revolution and to make reality many of the dreams and hopes that Fidel Castro, Che Guevara and many Latin Americans like Hugo Chavez shared, he added.

Extensive debates and opinions have been gathered on the island for several weeks and until November 15 on the new changes which will update the constitution, to replace the current one dating from 1976.

Some 135,000 discussion meetings on the new Magna Carta project are planned on the island.

Opinions and proposals of Cuban citizens, including those living abroad, will be submitted to the National Assembly of People's Power (parliament) for the drafting of the Constitution, which, once approved, must be subjected to a popular referendum.
