New Deluxe Hotel Iberostar Grand Packard to Open in Havana

Havana -The new hotel Iberostar Grand Packard will open its doors in this capital next September 10, as part of the program to increase hotel infrastructure of this nation, it was officially reported today.

A communique released this Thursday by the Spanish company Iberostar, added this facility will open in the mentioned date at full service.

The note says the great effort made to keep up with execution terms of thwe work, allows it to be opened before the expected date.

Iberostar Hotels and Resorts opens its new grand luxury hotel, the Iberostar Grand Packard, top exponent of quality and exclusiveness of that Spanish enterprise in this archipelago.

The Iberostar Grand Packard will be managed by the Spanish firm and owned by Cuba, will operate since next week at full throttle, with a very professional work team.

Iberostar Hotels and Resorts takes care of every detail, making it an example of its commitment to excellence and experience with clients.

The report also indicates the facility combines the architectonic value of the building with its original 1911 front, with innovating and exclusive lines, with 321 rooms and luxury services.

In its beginning, the hotel hosted celebrities such as Pablo Neruda and Marlon Brando, while now it preserves the essence of Paseo del Prado, the most important avenue of Old Havana.

Also, the hotel has astonishing views of the capital, its seaside drive, as well as crossing the bay, the Morro Castle. As referent for business and events tourism, the hotel has exceptional spaces for corporative events.

The opening of the hotel coincides with preparations in progress to mark the 500 Anniversary of the foundation of Havana and the 25 years since Iberostar Hotels and Resorts started to operate in Cuba.

Iberostar Group is a Spanish family multinational based in Palma de Mallorca (Spain) and dedicated to the tourism business since 1956, property of the Fluxá family and chaired by Miguel Fluxá Roselló.

The group extends through 35 countries, with over 28 thousand employees and receives eight million clients a year. It has 120 lodgings of four and five stars uin 18 countries of three continents.

Besides the hotels there are another business outlets: the Vacation Club, travel and receptive business, managed by enterprises Almundo.com and WorldtoMeet (W2M), respectively and the real estate company Iberostate.
