Pyongyang - The song ''Guajira Guantanamera'' (1928) continues today to speak in this Korean capital located about 13,000 kilometers from its hometown, Guantanamo, in eastern Cuba.

'La fiel mensajera / de llevar a la lejania el profundo sentimiento/ de eterno agradecimiento....' (The faithful messenger / to bring to the distance the deep feeling / of eternal gratitude ....) was composed by Havana singer Joseito Fernandez.

The song was applauded and sung by about 150,000 people gathered at a massive artistic gymnastics gala recently held at the May Day stadium in this capital, Prensa Latina noted.

The event surprised everyone, including a group of Cubans present there, among them the member of the Political Bureau of the Cuban Communist Party and Cuban First Vice President, Salvador Valdes Mesa, who hummed along with tens of thousands of voices in the world known chorus of 'Guajira Guantanamera'.

In the middle of the choral version of that song selected for the occasion by the show's musicalizers, most of journalists interrupted my moment of enchantment when they shouted to me, 'Cubano, your song ... ', 'Cubano, ta chanson ... ',' ????, ???? ????? ...,'kuba, aghniatuk' ..., 'Cuban, sua musica', which means in Spanish 'Cubano, tu cancion...'

Such moment subjected our heart to an unexpected dynamic test and my Cuban condition was enlarged.
