In San Antonio de los Baños, a new generation of young plastic artists impose new airs on the plastic arts. Among them, the art instructor, graduated in Sociocultural Studies, Adonis Marquetti Ponce, who stands out with his own light.

What proyects do you have for this new school year?

The new school year begins with the Appreciation-Creation Workshops, made up of students from Domingo Lence Novo Elementary School. For more than 6 years I have worked in this school, where I have the space to develop the workshops. Something I like very much, they always look for me because they want to paint. The work mainly consists in the participation of the students in the pioneer competitions and other activities, according to the needs of the center. I always try to show them new techniques and teach them about art.

I am going to participate in the Nora Lloró Traditions Hall, one of the most important contests held in the municipality, with the work '' Autorretrato '', where I use the papier-maché technique.

Will you participate in other events during the celebrations of the Ariguanabense Culture Week?

I will also participate in the César Vallejo Literary Workshop, in the Tenth Illustrated contest, which consists of artistically representing tenths created by writers. It is very interesting because it allows the creative deployment of each one according to the idea transmitted by the verses. In addition, I will be at the Francisco Martínez Villamil Landscape Encounter, which consists of representing representative sites of our town. On this occasion I would like to represent the church, a very striking, elegant construction that also distinguishes San Antonio de los Baños.
