
Havana - The second secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, and Tran Thanh Man, a member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, highlighted in Havana the ties between the two countries.
The Vietnamese leader, who is also the president of the Homeland's Front, is paying an official visit to Cuba heading a delegation that participated in the 9th Congress of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR).
Machado explained to the visitor aspects of the popular debate on the Draft Constitution of the Republic taking place in the country, and briefed him on the fight against the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States.
Tran Thanh Man, in turn, ratified the invariable policy of the Communist Party and the State of Vietnam in support of the Cuban people's struggle against the US blockade, as well as top authorities' interests in strengthening relations of friendship and solidarity with Cuba.
The two leaders described as positive the achievements made in sharing experiences between Cuba and Vietnam.
