In October, we make Cuba

Artemisa, Cuba - The debates on the Draft Constitution of the Republic of Cuba continue in San Antonio de los Baños, responding to the process prior to the approval of our Magna Carta.
In October, meetings will be held in the sectors of Agriculture, Construction, Industry, Tobacco, Trade and Transport. In addition, debates on the document will take place in student centers such as the Pre-university Institute of Exact Sciences Mártires de Humboldt 7, the José Maceo School of Crafts.
Maribel Bravo David, member of the Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, in charge of the political-ideological sphere, said that in the territory the debates have been positive because the people are interested and participate. Likewise, they propose changes to the Magna Carta, characterized by democracy, so that the changes respond to our reality.
In San Antonio de los Baños, more than 50 thousand ariguanabenses will also be the voice of the Homeland's future.

The Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) issued a statement on Tuesday rejecting recent remarks by Peruvian-Spanish writer Mario Vargas Llosa, in which he blamed social outbreaks in the continent on Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua and promoted an internal uprising in Cuba.

Havana - Cuban intellectual Abel Prieto was appointed president of Casa de las Américas, the center's website La Ventana reported today.
Prieto, former minister of Culture and currently serving as director of the Marti Program Office and president of the José Martí Cultural Society, was nominated for the post by Alpidio Alonso, current Culture Minister.
