West beat East in Cuban All-Star Baseball Game

With a strong attack of 11 hits, and in a hard-fought match, Occidentales (West) beat 5-4 Orientales (East) in the All-Star Game of the 58th Cuban National Baseball Series, which second stage will start next Thursday.
For the West there were offensive highlight to OF Yoan Moreno and 1B Yunier Mendoza, while IF Marnolki Aguiar excelled for the losing side; they all batted 2 for 2.
The winning run was batted in by catcher Oscar Valdes through a sacrifice-fly off reliever Pablo Guillen.
Despite winning, West players made four errors, two of them by C Andy Cosme trying to catch rivals when stealing second base.
The win went to lefty Geonel Gutierrez while Ruben Rodriguez took the loss.
Also in the framework of the All-Star Game, East´s catcher Yovany Alarcon won the homerun derby followed by West´s OF Stayler Hernandez and IF Jorge Aloma.

The Los Cuenteros Puppet Theater Company celebrated its 50th anniversary this November 19 at the Museum of Humor, located in San Antonio de los Baños, with the exhibition ''Fifty years telling stories''.
